Final Fantasy Resonance breaks Steam single-player records

Square Enix’s latest RPG, Final Fantasy Resonance, has achieved record-breaking success on Steam. According to SteamDB, the title reached a peak of over 42,000 concurrent players, making it the highest-performing single-player entry in the Final Fantasy series on the platform, surpassing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Developed using the HD-2D art style, the game is based on the narrative arc of the mobile title Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. It features a turn-based command battle system and a "Vision" system that allows players to utilize the powers of iconic series protagonists such as Cloud Strife and Tidus.

The game has received high critical and user acclaim, maintaining an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating of 97% on Steam and a 4.81/5 score on the PlayStation Store. Producer Keisuke Nakashima and scenario writer Yukinori Kitajima expressed gratitude to the global player base following the successful launch.
