Square Enix released Final Fantasy VII Rebirth this week for the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing the second part of the remake series to the new console. The game is available immediately on the eShop, with a free demo offered ahead of launch.

Nintendo also added Donkey Kong 64 to its Switch Online + Expansion Pack library, allowing subscribers to play the classic N64 title on both the original Switch and Switch 2. In addition, Nintendo hosted a meet‑and‑greet in New York where Final Fantasy VII Rebirth battle director Teruki Endo signed autographs and gave out posters to fans.

These announcements expand the current Nintendo Download lineup and highlight ongoing support for legacy titles alongside new releases.
