The upcoming video game Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the final chapter in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, is currently listed on the Xbox Store with a provisional age rating of ‘Mature 17+’. This has drawn attention from players because the previous two installments in the trilogy received ‘Teen’ ratings.

According to ESRB standards, a Mature rating typically indicates content involving intense violence, blood, sexual content, or strong language. While the rating is currently listed as ‘pending’ and is not a final confirmation, it has sparked speculation among the gaming community regarding whether the game will feature more mature themes or explicit content compared to its predecessors.

Scheduled for release in Spring 2027, the game will conclude the story of Cloud and his companions as they attempt to stop a meteor from destroying the planet.
