Final Fantasy VII Revelation set for February 2027 worldwide release

Square Enix announced that the final installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, titled Final Fantasy VII Revelation, will launch on 23 February 2027. The game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi said the new entry will give players more decision points than earlier episodes, though the story will still converge on a single ending. A notable change is the recasting of Sephiroth’s voice: veteran voice actor Travis Willingham will replace Tyler Hoechlin, who has voiced the character since 2020.

The release aims to conclude the remake narrative while offering varied player experiences that affect character development throughout the final chapter.
