Square Enix releases Final Fantasy X/X‑2 HD Remaster on Nintendo Switch 2
Square Enix has launched the Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X‑2 HD Remaster bundle for the Nintendo Switch 2. The package makes the two classic RPGs available natively on the new console for the first time, featuring full HD graphics, remastered and rearranged music, and a suite of quality‑of‑life options such as high‑speed mode and the ability to turn off random encounters.
The release coincides with the 25th anniversary of the original Final Fantasy X launch in Japan. To mark the milestone, a new anniversary logo was created by series veteran Tetsuya Nomura. The remaster is priced at roughly US$50 and is being sold worldwide across digital storefronts. It joins the existing releases on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the original Nintendo Switch, PC and PlayStation Vita.
Overall, the launch offers more than 100 combined hours of gameplay, updated character, monster and environment models, and additional content from the international versions of the games, providing both longtime fans and newcomers a refreshed way to experience the titles on the latest Nintendo hardware.
