Finale Ligure expands after-school services to meet high demand

The Municipality of Finale Ligure has launched an after-school service at the Calvisio complex of the Istituto Comprensivo di Finale Ligure. Managed by the Società Cooperativa Sociale Progetto Città, the socio-educational service will support primary school students on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until May 31, 2027.

To address an unexpected surge in demand, the administration accommodated 46 applications, significantly exceeding the initial estimate of 25. This included 33 resident students and 13 non-residents, including two minors with disabilities. To maintain quality and safety standards, the cooperative added two educators to the staff. The expansion required an additional municipal expenditure of approximately 19,359 euros.
