Finance for Resilient Landscapes program launched in Brazil

On 4 August 2026, Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy (TNC Brasil) and Proforest introduced the Brazilian arm of the Finance for Resilient Landscapes (F4RL) initiative during São Paulo Climate Week. The launch took place at Bank of America’s headquarters in São Paulo.

F4RL seeks to increase the flow of capital to productive landscapes that can better withstand climate challenges. It links organisations active in the territories, companies in value chains and financial institutions to fund projects that combine agricultural production, nature conservation and rural development. The programme initially targets six priority landscapes: two in Indonesia’s palm‑oil sector and four in Brazil’s soy and livestock supply chains, focusing on the states of Pará, Mato Grosso and Tocantins. By strengthening these connections, the initiative aims to expand and diversify financing mechanisms for on‑the‑ground conservation and sustainable‑agriculture efforts.
