Finance of America reports $110 million third quarter loss
Finance of America reported a net loss of $110 million for the third quarter of 2026, primarily driven by $125 million in noncash fair value adjustments. Despite the loss, the Plano, Texas, based company saw its funded volume grow to $748 million, a 24% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
On an adjusted basis, the company reported net income of $6 million, or 28 cents per share. CEO Graham Fleming attributed the earnings pressure to a challenging interest rate environment following the Federal Reserve's shift toward raising rates. Fleming stated that the company has implemented changes to product pricing and expects margins to return to historical levels during the first half of 2027.
