Financial education initiatives held in El Salvador and Chile

Financial education initiatives were highlighted through major events in El Salvador and Chile. In El Salvador, Sistema Fedecrédito hosted the seventh edition of the World Savings Day Congress 2026. The event drew over 1,000 participants and featured international speakers, including Daniel Urías, who discussed the psychological factors affecting money management, and Yokoi Kenji, who spoke on integral leadership and personal discipline.

In Chile, the Second National Meeting on Financial Education (ENDEF) was held, organized by the Chócale Personal Finance Hub with support from various financial institutions. The summit brought together authorities, including the president of the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) and representatives from the Central Bank of Chile, to discuss challenges regarding financial inclusion, common agendas for education, and the role of civil society in promoting economic literacy.
