Financial education programs launched in Mato Grosso schools

Educational initiatives focused on financial literacy are being implemented in schools across Mato Grosso, Brazil, through partnerships with Sicredi.

At Colégio Salesiano São Gonçalo in Cuiabá, third-year high school students participated in a formative session via the ‘Cooperação na Ponta do Lápis’ program. The session addressed financial planning, conscious decision-making, and the emotional aspects of money management to prepare students for life after basic education.

In Mato Leitão, the ‘Finanças na Mochila’ program, a collaboration between the municipal government and the Sicredi Foundation, engaged parents and students in discussions regarding daily money management. The program integrates financial education into the curriculum for 4th and 5th-grade students, aiming to foster conscious consumption habits and strengthen the connection between school learning and family life.
