Financial institutions honor female entrepreneurs in Dominican Republic and Honduras

Financial institutions in the Dominican Republic and Honduras are holding award ceremonies to recognize female leadership and entrepreneurship.

In the Dominican Republic, Banco BHD held the second edition of its recognition program, honoring six Dominican businesswomen. The awardees were selected based on their growth, innovation, job creation, and market expansion. Recognized categories included Small, Medium, and Large Enterprises. The initiative aims to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by increasing visibility and facilitating access to formal financing.

In Honduras, Grupo Financiero Ficohsa presented the fifth edition of the ‘Mujeres Adelante’ award. From a pool of 400 candidates, four women were selected for their management, innovation, and impact in sectors such as dairy, coffee, dentistry, and chocolate. The program seeks to highlight the contribution of women to the economic growth and development of Honduras.
