Financial leaders in Asia convene to discuss AI integration and governance

Financial and technology leaders across Asia are convening to discuss the strategic integration of artificial intelligence. In Hong Kong, Citi, Mastercard, and the FinTech Association of Hong Kong co-hosted a forum focused on the ‘agentic future of finance.’ The discussions centered on scaling agentic AI responsibly within wealth management, banking, and payments, while addressing challenges in governance, cybersecurity, and operational resilience.

In Singapore, DBS Bank announced its inaugural Asia Future Forward Conference, scheduled for October 12. The event aims to explore how ‘intentional AI’ can create economic and societal value across Asia, positioning Singapore as a hub for AI-led innovation and capital.

Additionally, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) recently led a business delegation to Germany and Austria. The mission sought to establish new pathways for collaboration in AI, smart city innovation, and new industrialization between Hong Kong and Central Europe.

In Bangladesh, the AI4BT Global Summit concluded with experts discussing AI-centric enterprise transformation, organizational readiness, and the evolution of cybersecurity in the age of rapid AI development.
