Financial institutions implement new debt and loan management protocols

Nuevo Banco del Chaco (NBCH) has launched a debt regularization program to assist clients with overdue loan and credit card payments. The initiative aims to help customers settle arrears and prevent automatic deductions from incoming account credits. Clients can manage these processes through physical branches or via WhatsApp. Additionally, the bank offers a debt consolidation line that unifies various obligations into a single monthly payment with extended terms for eligible public and private sector employees.

In Uruguay, the Asociación de Trabajadores de la Seguridad Social (ATSS) has reported delays in accessing loans through the Banco de Previsión Social (BPS). The union cites staffing shortages and new digital requirements as primary causes for the slowdown. Under new protocols, users must create web profiles and wait approximately one week for security validation before processing loan unifications. BPS Vice President Rosario Oiz acknowledged the delays, stating that the transition to web-based procedures was intended to increase agility and that efforts are underway to improve the situation.
