Financial institutions in Romania launch new mortgage and micro-enterprise funding
Financial institutions in Romania are introducing new credit and financing options for consumers and small businesses. Exim Banca Românească has launched a mortgage program featuring fixed interest rates starting at 4.7% for the first three years. The offer includes up to RON 2,500 in reimbursements for refinancing costs and provides preferential terms for green homes with high energy performance ratings.
In the micro-enterprise sector, a partnership between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and BCR Social Finance will provide 100 million euros to support Romanian companies with fewer than ten employees. This funding aims to assist small businesses that struggle to access traditional bank financing. Additionally, an agreement under the InvestEU framework with the European Investment Fund (EIF) will provide 100 million euros to support over 5,300 micro-entrepreneurs, particularly in rural areas, alongside 10 million euros dedicated to education and skills development.
