FPSB India report: 80% of financial planners to adopt AI within a year
A global survey of over 8,000 financial planners across 37 countries reveals that 80 per cent of financial planning firms are currently using or plan to adopt artificial intelligence within the next year. This marks a significant increase from the 60 per cent reported in 2025.
The report from FPSB India indicates that AI is enhancing professional capacity and efficiency. Key findings show that 93 per cent of planners reported improved work efficiency, 52 per cent noted increased operational efficiency, and 49 per cent stated they can now serve more clients. Additionally, 70 per cent of respondents believe AI can improve access to financial planning for underserved populations, while 68 per cent expect it to reduce service costs.
Ramesh Vishwanathan, CEO of FPSB India, noted that while AI transforms how financial information is accessed and consumed, it cannot replace human judgment. He emphasized that financial decisions require context and an understanding of individual goals, making the role of qualified professionals even more critical as the technology becomes mainstream.
