Financial Reporting Council commissions new headquarters in Lagos

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned the permanent eight-storey headquarters of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria in Ikeja, Lagos. The move ends more than four decades of the agency operating from rented offices.

During the inauguration, Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the new facility would enhance the agency’s efficiency and oversight capabilities. He noted that the FRC’s mandate in promoting credible financial reporting and sound corporate governance is vital for boosting investor confidence and supporting Nigeria’s economic prospects.

Siting the headquarters in Lagos underscores the state's role as a major business hub, as many of the enterprises regulated by the FRC are based in the region.
