Financial reports show losses for Cádiz CF and profit decline for Càrnica Batallé
Financial audits for Cádiz CF for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, reveal a net profit of 277,337 euros. However, this figure masks an operating loss of 7,810,941 euros. The positive result was achieved through a financial income of 9,307,818 euros, consisting of a dividend from Sport City Cádiz SL, a company 100% owned by the club. This dividend helps offset the impact of losing 13.9 million euros in relegation aid following the club's descent from LaLiga in the 2023/24 season.
Separately, the Spanish meat company Càrnica Batallé reported a 29.6% decrease in profit, totaling 18.6 million euros, while revenue fell 5.9% to 342.7 million euros. The company attributed the decline to a price crisis where average selling prices dropped more significantly than purchase prices, compounded by declining Asian demand and weaker European consumption. While Spain accounts for 41% of the company's revenue, the market shift has seen the domestic market absorb more sales previously destined for Europe.
