Financial reports show surpluses for CEC and ASOEM in Argentina
The Cooperativa Eléctrica de Colón (CEC) reported a positive result of approximately $1.69 billion at historical values for its 69th economic exercise, which rose to $2.21 billion after inflation adjustments. External auditor Cristian Rossini noted that while tariff updates improved the economic equation and helped reduce debt with CAMMESA, increases in the Value Added of Distribution (VAD) remain insufficient to offset accumulated cost gaps. The surplus was also influenced by the reversal of financial costs following interest forgiveness through a CAMMESA payment plan.
Separately, the union organization ASOEM announced its 20th consecutive surplus during its Annual Ordinary Assembly. The entity reported a surplus of $1.452 billion at historical values and a 47% growth in net equity, reaching $9.226 billion. General Secretary Juan R. Medina attributed these results to a management model focused on responsible resource administration and institutional autonomy.
