Financial tools for business obligations in Peru and Mexico

In Peru, businesses are utilizing factoring as a financial mechanism to manage liquidity for labor obligations, specifically the Compensación por Tiempo de Servicios (CTS). This process allows micro and small enterprises to convert outstanding invoices into immediate working capital, bypassing the 30 to 90 day waiting periods typically required by clients. This liquidity helps companies meet mandatory employment payments in May and November.

In Mexico, BBVA has highlighted its digital SIPARE service, which allows businesses and self-employed individuals to pay Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) contributions online. The tool enables users to pay IMSS quotas, retirement contributions (RCV), and Infonavit housing payments using capture lines generated through the IMSS portal. The service includes features for scheduling payments, consulting employer contributions, and retrieving payment receipts through electronic banking.
