Financial workers negotiate 2026 national campaign in Brazil
Negotiations for the 2026 National Campaign for financial workers in Brazil have entered a new phase following meetings between worker representatives and the Inter-state Federation of Credit, Financing, and Investment Institutions (Fenacrefi).
Initially, the workers' commission rejected the employer's proposal, describing it as “rebaixada” (lowered) and insufficient. Talita Régia, Secretary of Organization for the Financial Branch of Contraf-CUT, stated that the initial salary adjustment index did not even meet the period's inflation and failed to address a list of over 70 clauses.
Key points of contention include the regulation of telework and the necessity of mechanisms to control working hours. Workers are seeking specific parameters for remote work within the Collective Labor Agreement (CCT) to ensure rights and health standards are maintained. Despite the initial rejection, recent discussions in São Paulo have reportedly led to some advances in the proposal presented by the financial institutions.
