Finans Danmark reports 51% drop in online banking fraud

The number of individuals deceived into transferring money to fraudsters via online banking has decreased significantly. According to new data from Finans Danmark, the industry organization for banks, there were 2,571 registered cases of online banking fraud during the first half of 2026.

This represents a 51 percent decline compared to the first half of 2023, which marked the peak for such fraudulent activities.
