Finastra launches supply chain finance and AI payment tools

At the Sibos 2026 conference in Miami, Finastra announced two major technological expansions aimed at modernizing banking infrastructure: a Supply Chain Finance (SCF) solution and an AI-driven tool called Repair Recommendations.

The SCF platform is designed to help banks scale working capital programs by integrating trade, lending, and supply chain services into a single framework. Utilizing the Nexus API suite, the system connects with Finastra’s existing Trade Innovation and Loan IQ platforms. It supports end-to-end processes including buyer and supplier onboarding, risk management through AI-enabled fraud detection, and secondary market asset distribution. The solution is cloud-native and offers flexible deployment models ranging from on-premises to SaaS.

Simultaneously, Finastra introduced Repair Recommendations as part of its AI OperatorAssist suite. This tool uses artificial intelligence to assist payment operations teams by identifying discrepancies, diagnosing causes, and suggesting corrections based on industry standards such as Swift, Fedwire, SEPA, and UPI. While the AI provides automated guidance to reduce resolution times and errors, the system is designed so that human operators perform the final review and approval of all suggested actions.
