Fincantieri and TKMS sign MoU for submarine cooperation

Fincantieri and TKMS AG & Co. KGaA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen their long-standing collaboration and strengthen European industrial cooperation in the submarine and underwater systems sector.

The agreement aims to define an industrial collaboration framework by the end of 2026, subject to necessary regulatory approvals. By leveraging complementary technological expertise, the partnership seeks to reduce fragmentation within the European naval industry and promote a more integrated, competitive, and efficient approach to future programs.

Fincantieri CEO Pierroberto Folgiero stated that the agreement is designed to create new opportunities in innovation and industrial efficiency, contributing to the long-term development of European underwater defense capabilities.
