Fincantieri delivers second LNG cruise ship Mein Schiff Flow to TUI Cruises

Fincantieri handed over the 160,000‑gross‑ton cruise vessel Mein Schiff Flow at its Monfalcone shipyard in Italy to TUI Cruises. The ship, capable of carrying about 4,000 passengers, is built for dual‑fuel operation with liquefied natural gas and marine gas oil and can be adapted to bio‑LNG or e‑LNG.

Its environmental systems include Euro 6‑compliant catalytic converters, a heat‑recovering steam turbine and shore‑power connectivity for near‑zero emissions while in port. The delivery marks the completion of the second InTUItion‑class ship in the partnership, following a contract for two additional vessels scheduled for 2031 and 2032. The newbuild reinforces the Monfalcone yard’s role in large‑scale shipbuilding, employing roughly 6,500 staff.
