Finder Energy secures environmental approval for Timor-Leste oil project

Finder Energy Holdings Limited has secured principal environmental approval for its Kuda Tasi and Jahal (KTJ) oil development project in Timor-Leste. The Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo (ANP) approved the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), establishing the regulatory framework for the project’s development, construction, operation, and eventual decommissioning.

This approval, following the previously sanctioned Field Development Plan (FDP), provides the necessary regulatory foundations for the project to advance toward a Final Investment Decision (FID). Finder Energy is currently working through joint venture processes, project agreements, and debt financing to reach this stage.

The EIS was developed through a collaborative assessment involving MCC Sustainable Futures and the Timor-Leste advisory group Halona Serena, following consultations with government stakeholders, local communities, and the public.
