Finect investors favor top index funds as 2026 gains surge

During the first half of 2026 passive investing remained profitable, with emerging‑market index funds up about 20%—almost double the return of MSCI World‑linked funds. On the Finect platform, the most consulted product was a global equity index fund.

Finect compiled a ranking by cross‑checking the most‑viewed and most‑compared index funds on its site. Nine funds appeared in both lists, including Amundi Index MSCI World, Vanguard Global Small‑Cap Index Fund, BlackRock and Fidelity offerings. The Amundi fund, with €5.45 billion in assets, posted a 12.24 % year‑to‑date gain and charges of 0.30 % expense ratio plus up to 4.5 % subscription fee.
