FINfest conference highlights trends in Czech financial advisory

The 17th annual FINfest conference, themed ‘Focused on Business’, took place on September 21 at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague. The event hosted over 1,000 participants, 76 speakers, and 61 partners.

For the first time, organizers utilized data from Datel to analyze the profile of the typical attendee. The findings highlight a significant trend toward comprehensive financial advisory services. Rather than specializing in a single product, most advisors offer a broad range of services. Among verified participants with Czech National Bank authorizations, 93% are licensed for insurance, 79% for loans, 74% for investments, and 64% for pension products. Notably, 52% of verified attendees hold all four authorizations.

The data also reflects the professional demographics of the sector. The average attendee is 39 years old with approximately 13 years of experience. While over half of the verified advisors have more than ten years of experience, there is a visible influx of new professionals, with 25% having been in the industry for five years or less.
