Fingle Woods named a top UK autumn nature destination
Fingle Woods in Devon has been named one of the top five autumn nature experiences in the UK. Located on the eastern edge of Dartmoor in the Teign Valley, the ancient woodland was selected by accommodation company Glampingstays as a premier destination for travelers seeking connection with nature.
The site is currently the subject of one of the largest woodland restoration projects in England, a collaborative effort led by the National Trust and the Woodland Trust. The Fingle Bridge trail, which follows the River Teign through a wooded gorge, is a key feature of the area.
Glampingstays' research indicated that over 25% of UK holidaymakers prioritize a deep connection with nature, and 70% of Britons expressed interest in exploring more of the UK. The recommendation includes nearby glamping options, such as The Deer Den at Doddiscombsleigh, located near Dartmoor National Park.
