Finland and Sweden order Patria TRACKX armoured vehicles

Finland and Sweden have finalized orders for the Patria TRACKX, a multi-purpose all-terrain tracked armoured vehicle. The procurement marks a transition from development to field testing for the platform, previously known as FAMOUS.

Finland has signed an agreement valued at 13 million EUR net for vehicles destined for the Kainuu Brigade, including a Letter of Intent for potential future serial deliveries. Sweden will acquire five tracked vehicles specifically for testing and evaluation purposes.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in autumn 2027. Following delivery, both nations plan to conduct national field trials to assess operational suitability, with portions of the testing expected to be conducted jointly. The initiative aims to enhance mobility and operational capabilities in the Arctic region while strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.
