Finland announces 290 million euro military aid package for Ukraine

Finland has announced its 34th package of military aid to Ukraine, valued at approximately 290 million euros. This represents the second-largest aid package provided by the country since the conflict began in February 2022.

Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen stated that the package includes equipment urgently requested by Ukraine. The assistance consists of both items drawn from existing Finnish defense stocks and newly purchased products from the Finnish defense industry, a move intended to bolster domestic industrial capacity.

While the total value of Finnish defense products provided to Kyiv has now reached 3.6 billion euros, the Ministry of Defence has not disclosed the specific contents, delivery schedules, or transportation methods for this latest shipment.

Russia has previously criticized the continuous supply of weapons to Ukraine, claiming such actions hinder conflict resolution and risk the direct involvement of NATO member states.
