Finland announces athletics team for Sweden match

The Finnish Athletics Federation (SUL) has announced the selections for the upcoming athletics match against Sweden, scheduled to take place in Helsinki on August 29–30.

Among the announced athletes is marathon runner Alisa Vainio, whose participation in the 10,000 meters remains unconfirmed. High-performance director Tuomo Salonen noted that a decision regarding her status will be made in the coming days, as she has not competed in track distances for two years and is only two weeks away from the Birmingham marathon.

Other confirmed participants for the women's 10,000 meters include Emma Rantaja and Nelli Nordlund-Anttolainen. The men's roster includes various athletes across disciplines such as the 100m, 200m, hurdles, and field events including high jump, pole vault, and shot put.
