Finland Days in Bar festival launches in Montenegro

The ‘Finland Days in Bar’ cultural manifestation has officially launched in Montenegro, aimed at strengthening ties between Finland and the Municipality of Bar through art, tradition, and shared values.

During the opening, Dušan Raičević, President of the Municipality of Bar, hosted Niklas Lindqvist, the non-resident Ambassador of Finland to Montenegro, and Mihail Pavićević, the Honorary Consul of Finland in Bar. The event is organized by the Finnish Embassy and the Municipality of Bar in collaboration with the European House Bar, the ‘Operosa’ festival, and the Cultural Center of Bar.

The festivities included a concert at King Nikola’s Castle featuring the ‘Montenegro Laulaa’ program from the Operosa festival, with performances by young vocal artists from music schools in Nikšić and Bar. Discussions between officials highlighted potential cooperation in culture, education, and sustainable development, as well as Montenegro’s European integration path and the role of local governments in promoting European values.
