Finland defeats Netherlands in European Volleyball Championship

Finland secured a narrow 3–2 victory against the Netherlands in the men's European Volleyball Championship Group C match held in Tampere. The set scores were 18–25, 25–21, 24–26, 25–20, and 15–11.

With this win, Finland has won all four of its matches, earning ten points and maintaining its position at the top of the group. The Netherlands, following this loss, has two points and has been eliminated from playoff contention. Belgium also holds ten points but sits in second place due to Finland's higher number of victories. The top four teams from Group C will advance to the playoffs in Torino.

Finland's head coach, Olli Kunnari, noted that while the team was pleased to win despite a difficult performance and numerous attacking errors, there is room for improvement. Luka Marttila led the Finnish scoring with 22 points. Finland is scheduled to face Estonia in its final group stage match.
