Finland fields 65 athletes for European Athletics Championships in Birmingham

Finland's athletics delegation for the European Championships in Birmingham has been finalized at 65 athletes, after the European Athletics Association released the final competition ranking and the Finnish Athletics Federation (SUL) added 17 more entrants.

The team will compete in Birmingham, United Kingdom, from August 10‑16. The men's javelin squad consists of Oliver Helander, Topi Parviainen and newly‑named newcomer Eemil Porvari, with Topias Laine listed as a reserve. Teemu Narvi, despite a strong performance at the Kalevan Games, did not meet the ranking or qualification criteria and was not selected. SUL’s high‑performance director Tuomo Salonen highlighted the breadth and competitiveness of the Finnish squad and confirmed travel will begin on August 7 according to individual event schedules.
