Finland and Greece to face off in European Volleyball Championship knockout

Finland and Greece will face each other in a knockout match for the Men's European Volleyball Championship round of 16. The match is scheduled to take place this Sunday at the Palavela in Torino, Italy.

Finland enters the knockout stage after finishing second in their group following a 2–3 loss to Estonia. Greece secured third place in their group after winning three of their five matches, including victories over Slovenia, Sweden, and Slovakia.

The winner of the Finland-Greece match will advance to the quarterfinals to face the winner of the Italy-Denmark match. Historically, Finland has held a strong record against Greece in European Championship matches, winning all four previous encounters. However, the two teams recently met in the Golden League, where Greece secured a victory in Nokia.
