Finland metal scene: Updates from Curse Upon a Prayer and King Satan

The Finnish metal scene features new developments from two distinct acts, Curse Upon a Prayer and King Satan.

Curse Upon a Prayer, a Black Metal collective founded in 2010 in Tornio, continues to explore themes of Satanism and anti-Christianity. Following their 2020 LP ‘Infidel’, the band released ‘The Worship: Orthoprax Satanism’ in 2024, emphasizing their commitment to the genre as a lifestyle and mindset.

Meanwhile, industrial metal band King Satan has released a new single titled ‘Fire in the Hole’. The track, described by frontman King Aleister Satan as a blend of modern metal, electronic grooves, and philosophical undertones, serves as a precursor to their upcoming album, ‘Black Magick Abraxas’, scheduled for release on November 6 via Blood Blast Distribution.
