Finland municipalities invited to submit public sector innovations

Municipal and welfare area employers in Finland, represented by KT and major social partners, are inviting employees to submit examples of workplace and service innovations to the ‘Tekojen tori’ platform. The initiative aims to highlight how public work, processes, and services are being improved amidst significant budget pressures.

Participants can submit their development achievements until September 30, 2026. The most inspiring innovations will be recognized at the ‘Tärkeissä töissä’ gala in December. The platform currently hosts nearly 1,900 descriptions of development efforts from 209 municipalities, welfare areas, and their owned companies. Notable areas of innovation include education, social services, and healthcare, with increasing use of artificial intelligence.
