Finland to host ninth annual Children at Work Day

Finland will observe its ninth annual ‘Children at Work Day’ on Friday, November 20, 2026. Organized by the Central Organization for Social Welfare, the initiative aims to increase child participation, promote family-friendly work environments, and help children understand the professional world.

This year, organizers are encouraging workplaces to collaborate specifically with local schools and daycare centers. Participation has grown steadily, with 1,177 workplaces registering across Finland last year. The event allows children to explore various professions and workplace practices while providing companies an opportunity to view their operations through a child's perspective.

Ways for workplaces to participate include bringing children to the office, hosting group visits from local schools, or sending employees to classrooms to discuss their career paths and professional lives.
