Finland youth athletics team to face Sweden in Helsinki

Finland will compete in a youth athletics match against Sweden on August 29 at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. The Finnish team features several recent European champions, including Jere Murto in boys' javelin, Pyry Heiskanen in boys' long jump, and Alisa Launonen in the girls' heptathlon.

Eeva Kantomäki, the youth coaching manager for the Finnish Athletics Federation, noted that the inclusion of the Riet, Italy, European championship winners is encouraging. The youth match will take place before a senior international athletics event scheduled for the same evening.
