Finland's Sami Pajari Wins Rally Estonia, Eyes Home Rally Victory
Finnish rally driver Sami Pajari, 24, claimed his first World Rally Championship victory at Rally Estonia. He led 12 of the 18 stages and finished 19.5 seconds ahead of teammate Oliver Solberg, giving him his sixth podium of the season and moving him to third in the overall standings behind Elfyn Evans.
Pajari, the 17th Finnish driver to win a WRC event, said the triumph was "something truly amazing" and expressed gratitude to the team and supporters. Looking ahead, he will compete in the upcoming Finnish round of the championship and said, "I have nothing to lose in Finland," aiming to win on home soil while keeping a relaxed attitude despite rising expectations.
