Finn Awe wins Junior World Championship in 3m springboard
Finn Awe, representing WSC Rostock, has become the Junior World Champion in the 3m springboard event at the World Junior Diving Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. This marks Awe’s second global title in this discipline, following his 2024 victory in the B-youth category.
Awe secured the gold medal with a score of 359.20 points, highlighted by a 3.5-fold Auerbach salto. He earned silver from Matvei Pomoshnikov and bronze from Maori Pomeroy-Farrell. This victory follows a bronze medal Awe won earlier in the competition in the 3m synchronized springboard alongside William Ackmann.
German youth coach Anne-Kathrin Hoffmann praised Awe’s performance, noting his strengths in spring height and clean entries. She also highlighted the potential of Louis Aaron Förster, who finished sixth in the competition.
