Finn Jeltsch attracts interest from Inter, Barcelona, and Real Madrid

Finn Jeltsch, a 20-year-old defender for VfB Stuttgart, has become a primary target for several major European football clubs. Scouts from Inter Milan and FC Barcelona were reportedly present at Stuttgart’s recent Champions League match against Viking to monitor the German international's performance.

Jeltsch is highly regarded for his tactical versatility, capable of playing as a central defender or a right-sided defender in a three-man backline, a profile that aligns with the tactical systems used by Inter Milan. His rising stock is further bolstered by recent call-ups to the German national team under Jürgen Klopp.

Competition for the player is intense. In addition to Inter and Barcelona, Real Madrid has also expressed interest in the defender. Stuttgart currently values Jeltsch at approximately 40 to 60 million euros and holds a contract with him until June 2030, providing the club with significant leverage in potential negotiations.

Other news from the Festival dello Sport includes Fiorentina striker Mateo Pellegrino discussing his adaptation to Florence and his ambitions for the club's centenary. Additionally, Serie A refereeing chief Daniele Orsato addressed recent officiating errors and the evolving role of VAR in Italian football.
