Finnish business sectors report growth in demand and investment

Recent surveys indicate a positive trend in the Finnish business sector, with growth reported in both family-owned enterprises and the technology industry.

According to the PerheyritysPULSSI survey conducted by the Association of Family Businesses, 53 percent of respondents reported an increase in demand for products and services. Additionally, 75 percent of family businesses view their economic outlook as good, and 53 percent have seen their order books grow, driven in part by increased demand from Europe.

Simultaneously, the technology industry is seeing a strengthening of investment intentions. A survey by Technology Industries of Finland shows that companies are planning increased investments in machinery, equipment, digitalization, and artificial intelligence compared to last year. Leading economist Hanne Mikkonen noted that while global uncertainty caused some hesitation earlier in the year, both the global economy and the Finnish technology sector have adapted well. Large companies with over 150 employees are reporting particularly strong improvements in orders, production, and employment prospects.
