Finnish fan group SMJK condemns Finnish FA's support for Infantino's FIFA re‑election

The official supporters’ association of Finland’s national football team, SMJK, issued a statement opposing the Finnish Football Association’s (FA) endorsement of Gianni Infantino’s continued term as FIFA president. SMJK said Infantino’s leadership has increasingly marginalized fans, noting issues such as higher ticket prices, commercial‑driven venue choices and reduced fan influence. The group urged the Finnish FA to take supporter concerns seriously and to promote a FIFA that prioritises fans.

SMJK, founded in 2002 and known for its vocal presence at home matches, warned that continued support for Infantino could further diminish the role of supporters in the sport.
