Finnish metal bands announce new album releases

Several Finnish metal projects have announced upcoming album releases.

Post-metal band SEES will release their debut album, Suoja, on November 20, 2026, via Agonia Records. The seven-track record features Finnish-language lyrics and focuses on the contrast between heavy and atmospheric sounds. The project features musicians with experience from various Finnish alternative bands and was produced by Tuomas Kokko.

Melodic black metal group AUTUMNFALL is scheduled to release The Archaic Sins on September 25, 2026, through Ardua Music. The album primarily consists of material composed by Jussi Hänninen between 1998 and 2001, re-arranged for the current project.

Additionally, the one-man metal project Hav Norn will release its second album, Laniena Animarum, on September 18. The project, led by Sami Kokko, explores themes of melancholy and existentialism through a raw, unpolished sound.
