Finnish military oath ceremonies scheduled in Kouvola and Kankaanpää in August 2026

The Finnish Defence Forces will hold a military oath and insurance ceremony for newly enlisted conscripts on 13 August 2026 at the Kouvola railway station area. Organisers expect up to 10,000 participants and have arranged a nonstop bus shuttle from the Kouvola travel centre, urging attendees to use public transport because parking is limited. A second ceremony will take place on 14 August 2026 in Kankaanpää’s sports‑centre district. Conscripts from the Satakunta Artillery Regiment, the Pohjanmaa Jääkäripataljoona and the 2nd support company of the Varsinais‑Suomi Logistics Battalion will take their oath and receive their military insurance.
