Finnish motorsport competitors see success in Kemo and Estonia

Finnish motorsport competitions continued this weekend with events in Kemo and Pärnu, Estonia.

In the Circuit Racing SM sidecar class held in Kemo, Tero Manninen and Jaana Soppa secured a victory in the first race. Despite Markku Artiola and Peetu Paavilainen setting the fastest qualifying time, a poor start allowed the Manninen/Soppa team to take the lead, which they maintained to win by over two seconds. The competition saw a reduced field of four teams due to logistical issues and other racing commitments.

In the Finnish Racing Championship (FRC) Legends class, racing moved to the Porsche Ring in Pärnu, Estonia. Toni Lähteenmäki achieved his first podium of the season, finishing second in the first race. Lähteenmäki utilized a strategic decision to use wet-weather tires on a drying track, allowing him to take an early lead. He narrowly defended his second-place position against Leevi Lintukanto, finishing just 0.277 seconds ahead.
