Finnish musicians release new works and discuss creative themes

The Finnish metal band Viikate has released a new single titled ‘Meillä on siivet’ as part of their 30th-anniversary celebrations. The release includes a music video produced in collaboration with the city of Kouvola and Xamk University of Applied Sciences, featuring local landscapes.

In a separate development, singer Maija Vilkkumaa has released her new album, ‘Karaoke-queen’. In an interview, Vilkkumaa describes the album's loose theme as rage, noting that while it serves as an inspiration, she avoided making the record strictly thematic to maintain creative freedom.
