Finnish sports clubs announce new player contracts

In Finnish sports, several clubs have announced new player agreements. The ice hockey team Pelicans has signed defenseman Hannes Häkkilä to a try-out period lasting until the end of October. If Häkkilä successfully secures his place in the lineup, his contract will extend through the 2026–27 and 2027–28 seasons. Pelicans' sporting director Jarkko Oikarinen and head coach Sami Kapanen highlighted Häkkilä's mobility and puck-handling skills as key assets.

In football, FC Haka has signed junior player Paulus Pasanen to a long-term contract running until 2029. The move is part of the club's strategy to develop young talent for the first team. Pasanen, born in 2011, has been monitored by the club's coaching staff for several years. While he will continue to play primarily with the junior teams, his development will be closely coordinated with the senior squad.
