Fintech Conferences in South Africa and Tanzania Showcase African Innovation

The Finnovex South Africa 2026 summit wrapped up on 21 July 2026 at the Johannesburg Marriott Hotel. Organized by Exibex Group, the event gathered over 400 senior decision‑makers, more than 40 speakers and ten strategic sponsors from banks, fintech firms, regulators and technology providers. Highlights included keynote sessions on artificial intelligence and financial inclusion, notably a presentation by Dr. Thabiso Njongwe of Absa Group, and a series of CXO panels aimed at turning ideas into actionable strategies for Africa’s financial services sector.

The Fintech Festival Tanzania is scheduled for 20‑21 August 2026 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam. Hosted by Mikono Expo Group with partners such as the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority, the Ministry of ICT, the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange and the ICT Commission, the two‑day program will feature exhibitions, keynote addresses, masterclasses and a start‑up pitch competition. Co‑located events include Future Banking Conference Africa, Future Blockchain Africa, Cashless & Card Expo Tanzania and Tanzania ICT Expo, all focusing on digital payments, AI, renewable‑energy‑driven innovation and regulatory frameworks across East Africa.
